Amoskeag Continuing Education

Amoskeag Continuing Education is a company through which Honey Hastings shares her decades of practical experience with other divorce professionals.

Ms. Hastings retired from the practice of law in January 2016 after 33 years as a family lawyer. She continues her decades-long mediation practice. Hastings regularly presents workshops for mediators and lawyers on updates in family law, ethics, retirement plans and QDROS, drafting agreements, and domestic violence.

Workshops are offered in various New Hampshire locations, qualifying for continuing education credit for lawyers, mediators, guardians ad litem, financial professionals, and mental health professionals. Continuing legal education (CLE) credits are available for lawyers licensed in Vermont as well as New Hampshire.

Upcoming Workshops

Looking at Alimony - Current & Proposed, plus Parenting Modification & Other Family Law Updates

This workshop will cover new family law statutes, case law, court rules/forms in last 36 months. Most significant is the new grounds for parenting plan modification, effective 1 January 2017. A second focus will be on alimony - historically, over the last decade, & the proposed "alimony reform" legislation.
Approved by FMCB for 3 hours Legal Updates credit.

Mediating Financial Issues in Divorce

This course will discuss how to get the information needed to mediate each of the Final Decree financial topics. Then for each topic, it will cover strategies to both aid settlement and deal with factors not mentioned in the Court's standard form. Practical exercises are part of the interactive format.
Approved by FMCB for 3 hours Skills credit.
